BetterDeck’s heavy duty joist systems are widely used by builders, contractors, developers and architects for a range of residential and commercial outdoor landscape projects.
Along with our ultra-low maintenance composite decking, we also supply BetterWood– high quality deep pressure treated Southern Yellow Pine, which we import direct from the U.S. This timber is intended for use as the sub-frame of the deck and is fully rated for ground contact. The preservative in our joists has complete penetration to the centre of the timber, unlike the Irish-treated timber which typically has 3mm preservative penetration.
As trade professionals are aware, Irish pressure-treated timber is of a comparatively low standard. We are the first and only supplier of this high-quality deep pressure-treated timber in the Irish market today, reassuring our customers that the BetterDeck® name is the leader in our industry.
Working in conjunction with our adjustable heavy duty pedestal support system, our BetterWood systems are designed to interlock with our VersiJack & SpiraPave pedestal supports, drastically reducing installation costs while extending the life of the flooring beams/bearers by elevating the joists and eliminating direct ground contact. When used with our pedestal systems the BetterWood Joists have a 20- year warranty.
