Past Projects

Our composite deck boards have been used in numerous commercial projects throughout Ireland over the years. The case studies on this page will give you an idea of what we have to offer whilst demonstrating the exceptional quality and versatility of our product line. BetterDeck’s products are ideal for all kinds of different decking projects, from apartment complexes and housing developments to luxury hotels, office buildings, boardwalks and much more.

This project is a mixed-use campus in the heart of the Dublin Docklands Strategic Development Zone. The campus has the latest building innovation, with the highest commercial sustainability standards in Ireland today BetterDeck® was the chosen supplier for all the walkways throughout the campus.

BetterDeck® is delighted to be involved in another IPUT project. The Tropical Fruit Warehouse is an 80,000 sq. ft. landmark premium office development on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, in the Dublin south docklands overlooking the Samuel Beckett bridge and River Liffey. (Now occupied by TikTok)

2,600m2 of our composite decking was specified for this commercial project in Dublin city. We worked closely with Shannon Homes to deliver our composite deck boards in suitable timeframes, due to the restricting space on site.

We supplied 650m2 of our non-slip decking for the roof garden, balconies and walkways throughout this building. The architect and landscape designer decided that BetterDeck deck boards were the best choice for this job due to their durability, attractive appearance, and low- maintenance requirements.

Both our composite decking and composite railing were used in this high-end housing development in South County Dublin. As this housing development came with a “turn-key” finish, O’Malley developers were adamant that all products used on the project were fully protected by warrantees and had the highest possible performance ratings.

Having decided that BetterDeck’s recycled composite deck boards would be perfectly aligned with the hotels environmentally-conscious image there was 550m2 of our grey composite decking chosen for this roof-top bar/restaurant.

Ireland’s tallest building, which was also awarded Residential Property of the Year 2008 is located in Cork City centre. Traditional timber decking was not a realistic option for this project due to the on-going maintenance which would be required.

BetterDeck composite decking products are the perfect solution for the corrosive and moisture-laden environment of the salty sea-air. We have supplied our composite decking to many caravan parks over the years. For example, in Kilkee Co Clare

Cavan County Council used our composite decking to construct a boardwalk by the lake in Cavan town. One of the main concerns of the Council at the time was that the boardwalk could be under-water at least once a year. They were pleased with the research which shows that our solid composite decking boards do not absorb and retain water
